The Membership & Leadership Development Executive (M&LD) advise clubs that for the 2013/2014 season it will be compulsory to use the high visibility lycra tops for all open water based junior programs and activities conducted by Life Saving Clubs. This includes swims, board paddling and wading. Lycra tops for junior water-based activities should meet the colour guidelines set out by SLSA, which is fluoro pink.

Aspendale Life Saving Club provide training opportunities to its Senior (13 years and older) and Junior (5 years - 13years) Members.

Senior Members have the opportunity to train with qualified coaches on a twice weekly basis. They will learn new skills, become fit and active as well as making new, life long friends.

Junior Members have a opportunity to participate in the Nippers Program. Aspendale Life Saving Club aims to encourage all children to achieve, do their best and develop to their full potential, whilst learning new skills and having fun. We encourage participation in all activities.

The vision for our nippers program is to provide a safe and friendly environment where both nippers and parents can learn and enhance their knowledge about Surf Life Saving and to prepare our nippers to eventually be patrolling members of our club.
